Work Appreciation Day is back!
It was Work Appreciation Day yesterday at the company I work for and I’m glad it’s back in the office. Work Appreciation Day is when our kids can join us in the office to see where we work and know what we do. The day was filled with activities such as Magic Show, lab tours, Mascot dancing, games, movies, and crafts and art. It warms the heart to hear kids’ laughters and seeing the proud faces of parents showing their kids around the office. The previous onsite activity was done in 2019 yet and so it was been 5 years since.
Only my BFF knows but I used to hide in my office and cry during these days. I cry because I’m sad and because an uncontrollable jealousy surrounds me. I could not help the joy of having children rubbed to my face. I have always wanted to introduce Nathan to the office and introduce him to my officemates. Alas, Nathan did not even survive his 1st year. Nevertheless, I am happy that in 2019 I get to bring Halley and this year, I get to add on Kayla. I hope there’s no one in the office who felt what I felt before. If so, I pray God bless them with children too and that even if they’re not, they’d find peace in God’s embrace.
