If life was a song, it would be
a complicated melody.

My first half marathon taught me more than how to run a race

I have never been into running. In fact, I have never tried running even a full kilometer. Despite the hype and mutiple races, I have never been jealous of wanting to be part of it. I always thought running is too tiring until I found it fun. In Lexmark Dash this year where my love for running started, I signed up for 5km and for my first attempt, I ran it nonstop. It was as if the heaven opened and I heard angels singing. It came as a euphoria to know that I can achieve it. It was a slow pace but all I wanted was to complete it.

Work Appreciation Day is back!

It was Work Appreciation Day yesterday at the company I work for and I’m glad it’s back in the office. Work Appreciation Day is when our kids can join us in the office to see where we work and know what we do. The day was filled with activities such as Magic Show, lab tours, Mascot dancing, games, movies, and crafts and art. It warms the heart to hear kids’ laughters and seeing the proud faces of parents showing their kids around the office. The previous onsite activity was done in 2019 yet and so it was been 5 years since.

Tips on taking IELTS Exam

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam is taken to measure a person's English proficiency. I wish schools could have trained students for these type of exams and did mock tests. There is actually a good learning structure as foundation in writing a good essay. I wish I had that knowledge earlier.

In order to get your desired scores, I suggest to enroll in a review center that does one-on-one coaching. If you prefer to self-study, however, that can work too as there are several resources online that I found useful.
