I have always wanted to travel to Australia. So when the MDRT Convention for Asia Pacific was to be held in Sydney, we grabbed the chance.

We decided to spend a week in Auckand, New Zealand;

5 days in Sydney, and 5 days in Melbourne before going back home.

If you plan to travel outside the Philippines, this is a helpful tip for you. I discovered this painfully after a recent 17-day business trip last March. I was charged expensive fees for data services even when I was only using the internet when my phone was connected to the hotel's wifi. 

For my friend's birthday, we spent our weekend at Siri Yangu located at the wonderful province of San Remegio, Cebu. 

Siri Yangu is paradise. It has two big rooms where each room can accommodate at least 5 people. Everything is beautiful including the bathrooms. It has a natural feel around it. You can bring your own food with no corkage fee. The house has a stand-by Cook who can help you with food preparation. She cooks exemplary well. As of this writing, the rent amount is Php 15,000.00 per day. 

Bacolod is only a 45min-flight away from Cebu. For Cebuanos, we have no excuse of not ever setting foot there. Bacolod has the best places that give the most delicious sweet treats. Caleya, Kuppa, Bong-Bongs, Pendy's.. these are only to name a few. Delicacies are plenty too -- napoleones, piyaya, half moon, cheesecake, chocolate cake. They are the best! Other food to try are grilled chicken and kansi.

I heard about the dangers of diving and had so many apprehensions because of that. Yesterday, I risked them all. No one can say he lived his life when it is lived in fear. So yesterday, I said yes and stuck to that commitment. I am glad I did. The underwater world is a world I have not explored. I plan to explore it well. :)

For me, the perfect stay-cation place is Plantation Bay. July is the perfect month to stay outdoor. It has the right amount of sun and clouds not to burn your skin too much. The resort has a lot of recreational things you can do too. When I saw stand-up paddle boards, I just had to try them. You can kayak, bicycle, and use their game room. The game room has dart, pool table, foosball, and table tennis. 

With only 15-minute drive from JY Square, you can easily reach Cebu Zipline. I've tried ziplining, superman-style, during a visit at General Santos City but I've never done it in Cebu. I was pleasantly surprised that we have it here too. It's definitely something I would want to take my siblings and guests to experience.

I am not much of a thrill seeker but last weekend, I had all the guts in the world. I wasn't emotionally feeling very well. The slide through the line helped ease it up. I enjoyed it.
