I was attending the Saturday mass vigil at Sacred Heart Parish last night and I came across the last page of their Ignite magazine. It's the Easter Exercise. It says, "Wake up in the morning and realize it's Easter then jump for joy". Easter truly is a wonderful feeling. For us Catholics, this is the most significant event of our faith, Jesus' resurrection. It is a time of celebration.
When I was younger, my grandparents always spend holy week with us from the province of Mindanao. My grandparents, as conservative as they are, transformed the house to a gloomy one. We were not allowed to watch cartoons, or play around, or laugh, or wear colorful shirts. We were only allowed to watch movies such as Passion of Christ, and Ten Commandments. Why so? Because Jesus' died. We were even not allowed to get wounded because Jesus is not there to heal our wounds. Yeah.. I know... that's an exaggeration of course... but that's true. They are very conservative. Thus, when Sunday came, we were ecstatic! then we do this Easter Exercise! :D
Happy Easter, everyone! ^_^
